Why Studying in Canada
Canada’s education system is recognized as one of the best traditional and superior system in the world. Most of Canada’s education institutions are under government’s control. They provide high quality-education environment for students. Once international students enter Canada, they can enjoy Canada’s education system. Most universities are public schools which are under federal government’s control. Private universities also have their own high-quality education systems. They are also well known and recognized as qualified universities in North America.
Based on Citizenship and immigration Canada’s statistics, more than 130,000 international students come to Canadato study. Universities and colleges have programs that help you to enjoy Canadian life easier such as certificate programs, degree programs, and many other curriculums. Canada also uses Standard English.
In most cases, most international students need a study permit to study in Canada. However, there are few exceptions to this rule. For example, if you want to take a course or a program that is less than 6 months, you don’t need a study permit. However, you must finish the course or program within the period.
We recommend you to apply for a study permit before you come to Canada because after you finish any program in 6 months, you may want to continue to study in Canada. Otherwise, you have to leave Canada and apply for study permit and then come to Canada. This is just a waste of time. Also, if you have a study permit, you are allowed to work part-time on campus at the college or university. You have to be registered as a full-time student at the college or university.
The Canadian government knows the importance of international students since they are going to be the important source for future development of Canada. In 2008, Canadian Experience Class (CEC) immigration program was introduced. This program helps international students to stay in Canada and become Permanent resident. Coming to Canada as a student may provide you a path to become permanent residency.

On 18 April 2005, the Government of Canada announced new initiatives in order to attract and retain international students in Canada. The First will allow international students who are post-secondary students to work in campus while studying. In this way, students will be able to experience the Canadian labor market and understand better about Canadian society. The second will allow students to work for two years rather than one year. Another point is that they can transfer between programs and institutions without applying for a change to the conditions of their study permit.
